The Treehouse Inn is located in the family ecological reserve where we offer you an insight to the jungle life. The family ecological reserve covers 800 hectares of land, which belongs exclusively to the family. Only our clients are allowed to visit this land, giving you an authentic jungle experience. It is a primary Amazonian jungle in Manu National Park where we offer our visitors an extreme biodiversity. During our jungle tours you can observe the animals in their natural environment as you have never seen them in any other place. Each room has its own private hot shower.
We are a couple and we did a 3 days tour to Manu from Cusco in November 2022.
It was a great experience!
Benjamin was our guide and, together... read more with the whole team at the Treehouse which included Alejandro, the chef, Marcochi, Kalitzo and the very kind manager of the treehouses, they took care of us for the whole 3 days.
Everyone was super accomodating, kind and available for anything.
The group was made of 6 people in total, perfect number not to be overcrowded.
The Treehouses were beautiful, clean and perfectly maintained (even maybe too luxurious to be in the middle of the jungle), the boat ride to the treehouse on arrival and on departure is amazing, and the jungle just wow. Food was also really good.
If I have to make just one suggestion is to do a little less resting time on the second day and to swap the tubing activity with another activity always on the river, which is amazing.
A part from this, everything has been great.
If anyone wants to reach out to receive advices or to talk about the experience, please don't hesitate to reach out to the treehouse team to have our email.
We will be happy to have a chat.

What a fantastic experience. Juan (our guide) and Alejandro (cook) and our 2 boatmen took us deep into the Manu reserved zone. A unique area with huge diversity of life.... read more We saw capybara, caiman, a wide range of monkeys - and fresh puma tracks from just a few hours earlier going down the same jungle path as us. But it would be a big mistake to only focus on the animals - flocks of macaws, parrots and many other colourful birds overhead, butterflies the size of tea plates, huge and strange trees, exotic flowers, insects, frogs made for a quite unforgettable experience. We were privileged to see and live for a short while in such a special place. It felt very strange (and in a way quite sad) to re-enter the normal world of emails, people and man made noise when our trip ended. If you are going to Manu, do try to get to the Reserved zone. It's a world apart from the secondary jungle you travel through initially to get there. You really notice the difference on the way back as primary untouched jungle gives way to secondary growth - the diversity of life just disappears.
Having said that, the bus trip across the Andes and down through the Puna grasslands and cloud forest to get to the Madre de Dios is an adventure in its own right. The scenery is awe inspiring
Thank you so much Manu Wildlife Peru for making our visit possible.

This was a fantastic trip! We got to see a lot of beautiful birds and monkeys. We even saw a capybara. The food was amazing and the staff work hard... read more to make sure you have a good time. Our guide, Benjamin, was super knowledgeable and excited to share his love of wildlife with us. My friend and I joined four others on this small group tour. We lucked out with the November weather and had no rain. The treehouse is beautiful and clean. We were also very appreciative of our drivers, who managed the mountain roads to and from Cusco to get us to our flight on time after the tour.

Water supply in tree house was temperamental which was annoying as its so humid in the jungle.

Fascinating 5 day Manu Park expedition with guide Benjamin and friendly crew. We saw a whole range of different animals (many birds, monkeys, river otters, capybaras) and enjoyed river boat... read more rides and jungle hikes seeking out wildlife. Benjamin has a huge amount of knowledge about the local animals and environment and it was great to learn from him about the jungle. We also stayed in treehouses which was really unusual and fun.

This was a fantastic experience, we saw so much wildlife including a bear, otters, giant Guinea pigs, beautiful birds like Macaus and toucans. Our guide Lucho was so informative and... read more helpful. He was also funny and entertaining. We thoroughly enjoyed this six day experience.

Our guide Benjamin was an excellent host to Manu, informative and always attentive to make sure you see whatever wildlife is lurking nearby. The treehouse inn is a unique spot,... read more as close to luxury as you can reasonably expect in the heart of the jungle.
Be aware that animal sightings aren't guaranteed, beyond insects and cormorants. I took the 5-day option, which goes a bit further upriver than the well-trodden tourist trail of Manu but is still limited to the secondary forest of the national park. A longer hike into the primary forest in the Zona Reserva may be more rewarding but of course costs more money and time, so it's worth weighing up how much to invest with what you hope to get from it. If you just want to soak up some rainforest ambience, this is still a pretty special 5 days.
It's one of the pricier tours on offer but we definitely got value for money, with delicious cooked meals (and snacks). It rained for 3 of the 5 days but the clue is in the name of the rainforest, so can't really complain.

We booked the 5n/6d tour. It was a very well organised trip through beautiful nature. Michel was very knowledgeable on the plants and animals we saw and always punctual. The... read more chef Wilber did a great job at cooking vegetarian food, lots of options and a nice variety. The highlight of our tour was seeing the jaguar and giant otters. We definitely recommend doing the longer tour to go into the reserved zone.
Do be aware that you spend a lot of time in a bus/ boat for this tour. The views are still very nice and you do see some wild life, but also quite some hours can go by without seeing anything. Overall for the animals that we did see we thought it was well worth it.
Only points of improvement we have is that
- we would have liked to be informed earlier about the COVID test that was needed to enter into the reserved zone (now this was notified the morning before the tour).
- we would have liked to have seat belts in the bus back (they were driving very safely though)

The Manu Wildlife Peru tour is an unforgettable way to experience Peru's ecology diversity. We spent a month in Peru and this tour was by far and away our favorite... read more experience in this beautiful country.
The Wildlife
The tour includes boat rides , river tubing and forest walks. The forest walks take place during the day and at night with the goal of viewing a diverse range of animals with various active hours. The walks are not strenuous and are well paced. During the tour, we were able to see a classic Amazonian green tree frog, river otter, caiman, capybara, bushmaster snake, roseate spoonbill, jaguarundi, owl, bamboo rat, monkeys, macaws, parrots, glass butterflies, tarantulas and so much more.
The Manu Wildlife Peru Team
We were very lucky to have Benjamin as our tour guide. He was incredible. Benjamin is originally from the Peruvian Amazon and his knowledgeable of the entire ecosystem was beyond impressive. He easily identified all of the flora and fauna we came across and was even able to identify birds and animals by their calls. His level of expertise was unmatched. Even in his free time, he was constantly studying books and articles about animals and plants in the Amazon. You could tell that he took great pride in role as a local knowledge keeper, but he also didn't take himself too seriously. His fun personality was a highlight in itself.
Our tour was also incredibly lucky to have Wilbur as the chef. It's difficult to express how much our tour group enjoyed his culinary masterpieces. He created some of the best meals we had during our entire time in Peru. You could easily tell that he put a lot of thought into his meal planning to create flavorful and well balanced feasts for the entire group, including those with dietary restrictions. He presented the group with delicious classic Peruvian dishes and created awe inspiring vegan and vegetarian alternatives. His vegan dishes weren't boring substitutes, he took great effort to ensure that the vegan alternatives were equivalent to his non-vegan dishes. He created truly incredible vegan and vegetarian versions of juane (the celebratory Peruvian chicken and rice dish), lomo saltado, ceviche, causa rellena and pisco sour. The entire tour group could not stop raving about Wilbur's delicious culinary creations. He is an incredible talent and we were lucky to have had the chance to experience his cooking.
The people (the Manu Wildlife Peru team and our other tour mates) were a huge part of what made this tour so exceptional. We cannot thank the Manu Wildlife Peru team enough for creating such an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend this company for anyone interested in experiencing the Amazon Rainforest in Peru with a great team and a well managed excursion.
